Duke management involvement in affecting protocol or methodology of studies concerning exposure


- Are you aware of involvement by Duke Hospitals management or persons acting on behalf of management discussions concerning protocols or methods utilized in studies concerning the contents of hydraulic fluid, sterilization procedures, or the extent or toxic effects of hydraulic fluid exposure?

- Are you aware of documents or other records reflecting communication between Duke Hospitals management concerning protocols or methods utilized in studies concerning the contents of hydraulic fluid, sterilization procedures, or the extent or toxic effects of hydraulic fluid exposure?

If you have information or knowledge concerning these specific questions, or any other aspect of the Duke hydraulic fluid exposure incidents, you may be able to assist exposed patients in gaining a greater understanding of their medical situation or with improvement of surgical medical safety practices.

It is also helpful if you are aware of the locations of documents which may contain relevant information or can identify persons, departments or agencies whose job it is to monitor, maintain records on or make decisions concerning any of these research questions. It is particularly helpful if you can give us a specific idea as to what relevant information might be found in certain documents, or under the responsibility of particular individuals or groups.
